Opinionated by design
CalmerFlow is deliberately constrained. Here’s why we think that’s a feature, not a limitation.
The paradox of choice
Every task app on the market competes on the same axis: flexibility. More custom fields, more views, more automations, more integrations. The pitch is always the same — “make it yours.”
But there’s a cost to all that flexibility. Every option is a decision. Every decision is a tiny drain on your attention. And attention is exactly the thing you opened a task app to protect.
Constraints breed clarity
CalmerFlow doesn’t ask you to design your workflow. We designed it for you. Tasks have a title, optional notes, and a due date. That’s it. No priority dropdowns — our scoring algorithm handles that. No labels — if you need to group work, use boards.
This isn’t laziness. It’s a belief that the best tool is the one that disappears. You should open CalmerFlow, see what matters, do the work, and close it.
Automatic prioritisation
Every task gets a score based on age, due date, and effort. The longer a task sits, the higher it rises. Overdue tasks float to the top. Completed tasks fade away.
You never have to drag cards around to tell the system what’s important. The system already knows. Your job is to look at what’s at the top and do it.
Focus mode
Sometimes even a board is too much. Focus mode hides everything except the single highest-priority task. One thing at a time. Finish it, or defer it, and the next one appears.
It’s the digital equivalent of writing one task on a sticky note and putting it on your monitor.
Who this is for
CalmerFlow is for people who are tired of configuring their productivity system and want to get back to actual work. It’s for people who’ve tried the complex tools and found themselves spending more time managing the tool than managing their tasks.
It’s especially well-suited for ADHD brains — people who thrive with structure but struggle when they have to build that structure themselves. Automatic prioritisation, focus mode, and minimal configuration aren’t just convenient; for some people, they’re the difference between getting things done and abandoning yet another app after a week.
But you don’t need a diagnosis to benefit. If decision fatigue is real for you, CalmerFlow was built with you in mind.
If you want 47 custom fields, Gantt charts, and a workflow automation engine — there are excellent tools for that. They’re just not this one.
CalmerFlow is for people who want fewer decisions and more done.
